Gil!

I use MacFamilyTree; it's excellent. You can export your files on the PC and burn thme to a CD or DVD, then import them to the Mac easily.

This isn't to say that I don't use Windows; I use it at work and I have in on Parallels. When they first saw it, the folks in my office were stunned. In fact, they still are.

You're making me think of investing more than I had planned and go for a MacBook Pro. Are there more differences than you noted? I hate Bill Gates and Microsoft. I purchased his damnable new Vista 11 months ago. He never announced with his big talk that almost no previous hardware or software would be compatible with Vista. Not spending many hundreds of dollars more, I sacrificed lots that I had with Windows XP.

Anyhow, I hate Windows so much that I am ready to switch to Apple. Only problem being that one of my greatest uses is a vast genealogy collection that I have worked on for many years. The only software I have been able to locate claiming compatibility with Mac is MacFamily Tree. But I can't find a supplier, or the manufacturer, to confirm that. I want to go to Apple, but I have to be able to continue my genealogy work.

What do you think?
